The NHS Give Blood App
Our free NHS Give Blood app allows you to book appointments and manage your details on your Android or Apple iPhone device.
Once you have registered to donate and set up your online account, you can download our convenient and easy-to-use app. More than 160,000 users make use of the app every month, using it to book and manage appointments, update contact details or check their eligibility to donate.
The app has all the features of an online account, plus a few extras. Once you’re set up, you can access the latest appointment availability, from same-day appointments to appointments several months into the future. The app will also alert you if your blood type is currently in high demand.
Why choose the app?
1. Appointments on the go
Appointments are updated in real time, so if anyone cancels last minute you can snap up that appointment on the same day. By using your device's location you can also search for appointments nearby.
3. Digital Donor Card
You can view your Digital Donor Card which displays your blood type, shows how many times you have donated, and changes colour as you pass your donation milestones. This feature can only be found in the app.
2. Speedy booking
The app keeps you signed in to your account, so once you decide you want to book, you can find an appointment fast. You can also add favourite locations, making it even quicker to find an appointment to suit you.
4. Know when you're in demand
The app displays messages when your blood group is particularly low, so you'll know when you're in demand and be able to plan your appointments around this.
