Blood donor appeal

Help your NHS this winter by giving blood.

Giving blood will help hospitals through a second wave of coronavirus and with the other pressures winter places on the NHS.

Our centres are open and there are extra safety measures in place.

A red blood drop that has 'this winter help you NHS' written in it

How you can help

  • Give blood - you can travel to donate despite coronavirus restrictions

  • Keep your appointment if you can and let us know if you need to cancel

  • Book an appointment at a city centre donor centre if you can - many of these venues have appointments because fewer people are heading to town centres to work and shop

  • Check our coronavirus safety rules before you come

Where you can donate

There are blood donor sessions across the country every day.

At the moment there are plenty of appointments to donate at these centres over the next few weeks.

To donate at one of these centres, please register as a blood donor or sign in to your account and search using your postcode.

If your preferred donor centre isn't on this list, please book an appointment near you when there's space.

Giving blood is as safe as it's always been and all sessions are COVID-secure
