How you can help

In London, hundreds of babies a year are born with sickle cell disorder.

To make sure they get the best treatment, thousands more Londoners need to give blood.

We particularly need people of Black African and Black Caribbean heritage as you're more likely to have an important blood type used to treat sickle cell.

What happens when you donate?

Check

When you arrive at your appointment, complete a health check questionnaire and drink 500ml of water.

Chat

Have a private health screening with a friendly member of the team.

Donate

Take a seat and give blood for 5-10 minutes.

Relax

Enjoy a free drink and snack while you rest for 15 minutes.

Done

You're all done. Your donation will help save up to three lives.
