Jessica and Storm's story
Jessica shared her terrifying journey into motherhood after her 'sassy little fighter' was born just one day after the 24-week legal abortion limit, weighing just 1lb 4oz.
Jessica Elliott, 31, who lives in Lewisham, London with her husband Kevin, 36, still suffers flashbacks following the trauma of her daughter Storm's birth.
Following a devastating miscarriage just a year earlier, she worried history would repeat itself.
Jessica went into labour at 23 weeks.
With help from hospital staff, her little girl clung to life for five months in a specialist neonatal intensive care baby unit at St Thomas' Hospital in central London during which time she received 17 blood transfusions.
If it wasn't for the generosity of blood donors, Storm wouldn't be alive today.
Jessica's little girl is now a happy, healthy 3-year-old.
