Russell Mills

Russell’s life was turned upside down when he was diagnosed with life-threatening Multiple Myeloma, a bone marrow cancer that is about twice as common in people of African and Caribbean descent than in the general population. After an agonising three-year search for a suitable bone marrow donor his family's prayers were answered in August 2006. The keen golfer from Manchester now leads a full and active life. Russell is hugely passionate about raising awareness of the black community's need for blood and bone marrow donor.
