Orchid Spencer

Orchid Spencer was diagnosed with Leukaemia in 2004 and as part of her treatment received four blood transfusions. She is now in remission and leading a busy life, spending time with her husband and teenage son. Now back at work full time; she’s also helping Leukaemia sufferers. ‘Had it not been for people donating blood, I would have died. You may not need a blood transfusion now or see the need for becoming a donor, but the chances are you already know someone who has benefited from receiving blood or know someone who will in the future.’
