Why we sometimes cancel appointments

The blood types patients need can change over time.

Sometimes we need to make an appointment available to a donor whose blood type is urgently needed. This may mean changing an existing appointment and helps us get the right blood to patients when they need it.

We try to avoid cancelling appointments wherever possible.
