Mobile Blood Donor Centre
Our mobile blood donor centre visits select community locations in priority areas across London to make it easier for people to donate closer to where they live or work.
Appointments are initially available to some donors who can provide blood urgently needed by patients, including people living with sickle cell.
Who can book
Appointments are initially available to:
- donors of Black heritage who have signed up to give blood but not yet donated
- existing donors who have Ro blood
People of Black heritage are more likely to have the Ro subtype that plays a crucial role in the treatment of sickle cell.

Accessibility
The mobile donor centre has steps to enter the vehicle. There is no ramp or lift, so you need to be able to use the steps to get on and off the vehicle.
Unfortunately there is no toilet on board, but fully accessible toilets are available in the main building at the location where the centre is parked, for example inside the supermarket or car park building.
Space inside is limited, so please come to your appointment on your own if you can.
If you need someone to support you at your appointment, or you are unsure whether the mobile centre will meet your needs, contact us before booking or attending.
