The Michelin company’s
factory in Stoke-on-Trent, Staffordshire, has clocked up what
may be a unique claim to fame - 50 years of hosting blood donor
sessions for employees. In that time, estimates the National
Blood Service, Michelin staff have given more than 28,600 donations.
As the NBS itself was only established in the years after the
war, it may be that Michelin is our oldest commercial supporter.
