The Frozen Components PIL seeks to provide information and to dispel concerns and misunderstandings often experienced by patients who do not understand the terminology frequently used to refer to these components as "frozen". This PIL describes the components Fresh Frozen Plasma and Cryoprecipitate and their uses as part of a treatment process.


What is Anemia What is Anemia?
The Anaemia PIL gives an overview of what Anaemia is and the options of treatment which may include a blood transfusion. In line with the Patient Blood Management Recommendations the use of alternatives and questions to use as part of a discussion with the clinical team managing the individual case are presented so that the patient feels informed and empowered to be involved in the decision making process in none emergency situations should they wish.
